Updated August 2026 9 sections 2 min read Governed by New Brunswick & Canadian law

This Privacy Policy explains what information Northernvera ("we," "us," "our") collects through northernvera.com (the "Site") and how it's used. Northernvera is based in New Brunswick, Canada, and this policy is written to comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Canada's federal private-sector privacy law, and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) where applicable.

01Accountability

Our team is accountable for how personal information is handled on this Site and can be reached at hello@northernvera.comIn preparation (until it’s live, message us on Instagram) with any privacy question, concern, or complaint.

02What we collect

At this pre-launch stage, we collect only:

  • Email address — when you submit the "Request invite" form, along with your explicit consent to receive emails from us.
  • Basic technical data — such as browser type and approximate location, if we add analytics tools in the future. None are active on the Site as of this version.

We do not currently collect payment information, physical addresses, or health information through this Site.

04Where it's stored

Email submissions are processed through Netlify Forms, the form-handling service built into our hosting provider (Netlify, Inc.). Submitted data is stored on Netlify's servers and forwarded to our own inbox. See Netlify's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle data.

05Your rights

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, and withdraw your consent to further contact at any time. To exercise any of these rights, or to request deletion of your email from our list, contact hello@northernvera.comIn preparation (until it’s live, message us on Instagram). If you're not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. If you are located in a jurisdiction with additional data rights (such as the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA), we will accommodate applicable requests where reasonably possible.

06Cookies

This Site does not currently use tracking cookies or analytics. If that changes, we will update this policy and, for visitors in Quebec, seek explicit opt-in consent before setting any non-essential cookies, as required under Quebec's Law 25.

07Governing law

This policy and any dispute related to it are governed by the laws of the Province of New Brunswick and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Brunswick.

08Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Site and business evolve, particularly around launch, when payment processing and shipping information will be introduced. Material changes will be reflected with an updated date above.
